My family is -- ehm, well. Very comfortable, I should say. I have my own salary, of course but -- many big expenses were handled by my father. [Each word is like pulling teeth.] So the apartment I have in Manhattan, the apartment I have in Providence .. he insisted on purchasing those. And went over-the-top, despite my pleas to just get me something simple.
It's nothing to be ashamed of. So you come from money. You'll never have the same hard won, poverty induced, street smarts that I have but you'll have other things. Like great credit and caviar for breakfast.
Wealth is not easily accumulated in Sweden. Due to the socialistic nature of the country, mostly everyone is in the middle class. There are very few in poverty and very few in wealth. I -- do not like putting myself in the upper echelon thoughtlessly. It is not my fortune, but my parents'. I am quite happily in the middle class, based on my salary alone.
