The river does not know time.

That's because a river consist of quickly moving water particles. They don't have the ability to perceive time. Only whether they're moving or not. Temperature.

The water particles are not sentient.

It does.

It just doesn't care.

It won't be here forever.

Nothing will.

I know. Even time ends one day.

Exactly. Ergo a river doesn't know time. [Smiles.] They're still affected by physics tho.
