"Thanks, sweetpea! Glad you enjoyed it. But come on in, not a moment to waste." Ezera's already making her way to the dinner tables in the audience. You were sitting up here, weren't you?" She asks, while looking down the aisle.
Cassie follows her, looking around for any trace of the gold chain. "Yes, over there. It's a gold locket on a chain. That table." She points, but doesn't see the locket.
Ezera looks under the table and runs her hand over the chair. Nothing. "Ok. Hold on." She walks to the back and flicks on the lights. She then calls out, "Hey guys?" A few performers are left in the club. They poke their heads out from various rooms. "Has anyone turned in a necklace?" They looked at one another and shook their heads. "Help us look?" Ezera asked and they went to work.
Ezera returned to the woman. "Do you want us to retrace your steps?"
Cassie looks under the table too, and the chairs, and under the next
table. She's hopeful for a moment, when Ezera asks the performers. "Yes,
if that will help, please. I didn't go anywhere other than here and the
restroom."
"Gosh, I feel so bad. Don't worry, if it's here to be found, it will be." She knows what it's like to lose something of great sentimental value. "Then you probably went this way." Ezera said, turning down the aisle toward the exit into the hallway that led to the bathroom. "What's your name?" She asks, already thinking that she'd take the woman's name and number in the event that the cleaning crew found it tonight.
