[She didnt have a choice. Stupidly, she thought she could sleep in her car but instead she woke up shivering so hard it felt like she was going to break her back. So she went inside, the fire had died down to just ember, so she sought the colonel and prayed he wasn't hungry.
When he didnt immediately eat her, she released the breath she was hold and snuggled closer.]
*For now he seems content to just lay next to her. He's got a nice warm blanket and soft sleepwear, surely that's worth the risk of him assuming she's breakfast in bed.*
I woulda just left it on the couch like I did my coat. It got hot with all the people. That's why I went out there to start with. I didn't think I'd drank enough to pass out.
[She wraps his blanket a little tighter around her.] I'm Tennyson by the way.
[Maybe she should have been more concerned considering she'd started having nightmares but the cold had a way of blocking everything else out. It hurt to be so cold so it clouded her judgement.]
It's a real pretty place ya got. Sorry I got so drunk. I guess I'm too used to cheap booze. That good stuff went down so smooth and went right to my head.
What are ya doin' sleepin' by yourself though? Wasn't there anyone at the party ya liked?
Yeah? Why'd ya kick 'em out already? It ain't that late. I was only on that balcony for like 2 hours and the party was still goin' then. Unless that's why I never saw you at the party. You were in here knockin' boots.
