It's been a...very bad day.

You should do something to spoil yourself. That's what I do when the universe hits me with a figurative tennis racquet.

Might not be the advice you're looking for, but no day's a bad day if you're not sober to see it.

I was...just going to make tea.

Um, tempting as it is, i can't really afford to be sloshed at work. I work with sharp objects. And, uh, people.

I was going to make tea and watch something on netflix, but then the phone rang and the day got worse.

Iunno, in my line of work the sharp objects and people tend to be a great reason to get wasted. But I guess not everyone can get away with pulling a gun at whoever has a problem with it.

[He's joking... mostly.]

[While she doesn't know Molly personally, Grace still looks sympathetic.]

I'm sorry - I'm sure it'll be okay though? And there's always time for tea, if you still need it. Tea and a hot shower are a great combo.

I mean, maybe not together. Might get a bit messy.

Most of the people I see have already had guns and things pointed at them. That's usually why they come to me. Because they're dead.

What, you work at a morgue or somethin'? 'Cause, well, let's be honest, that sorta explains the calm reaction.

I mean, yes, I admit, it's a little...odd, talking with someone like you, but I also didn't want to be rude and make a fuss about it.

Well, I'll take what I can get. It's kinda nice getting through a conversation without getting called an 'it'.

[Despite her weariness, that actually makes Molly smile.] Yeah, a very British mess.

Still, I'll take a physical mess over an emotional one any day.

An 'it'? Well that's awful!
