What's wrong?

I got into a huge fight with my brother at his party.

[Frowns, the concern showing.]

I'm sorry that happened. I'm sure things will work out.

I hope so. I've never seen him that angry with me before.

[Wiping her eyes. Her brother was her world so she was stunned.]

Did he say anything to you?

No, wait was he upset about us?

He's upset with me. He thinks I'm being reckless and going to get myself in trouble.

He doesn't understand that I can take care of myself. And if being with you gets me in trouble then I don't care about that either.

Well then I am really sorry.

[Draws her close and kisses her gently.]

I never wanted to have him get upset with you because of me.

It's not because of you, Peter.

[She kisses him back gently.]

It's everything. He may not approve, but he also found the lingerie I was hiding in the closet and I may have come home a little drunk last night.

My bad, I'll take better care of you when we are out.

You didn't make it three dollar margarita night.

[Laughs softly.]

But yeah, I should probably stay away from the bar for a little. I can't quite handle my alcohol like I thought. How about we just spend the night together?

I like that idea. I'll order out and we can just watch a movie and relax together.

That sounds really nice. And I'm sorry my brother is a killjoy and spoiled the surprise I had for you.

It's just weird to be fighting with Andrew. We almost never fight. And he's kinda scary when he gets angry?

I doubt he would hurt you. Just give him time to get used to the idea of us.

He's just being a protective jerk. He doesn't understand I'm an adult and I can make my own decisions. He knows you're not going to hurt me either.

Never in a million years would I do that.

I know. This isn't about you. This is about me, and me growing up and him not liking that I'm not his baby sister anymore.

I know. There's a lot of stuff that he has to work through, Peter. He's been through a lot. We both have. Someday I'll tell you when it wouldn't be a total buzzkill.
