Having to make an incredibly difficult decision that I know is going to hurt someone close to me, and thinking it'd be a lot easier if I wasn't so close.
Oh those situations are the worse. I just faced a situation similar. I don't have any sage advice except if you think it is for the best then you have to take that risk.
Oh, I know what's going to happen. It's not official yet, but it's almost a done deal. And then she's going to hit me or cry and I can't say I blame her for either one.
Ah yeah sadly that happens. I can't say much because I just recently did the same thing, took a job elsewhere. It's hard for everyone involved. I left a good team behind myself.
I know what the right decision is. It's just knowing what it will do to Shelby that I can't stop thinking about. And then I get frustrated with myself for being that hung up on it.
[ A furrowed brow lifts along with the hunter's shaggy head, deermoose in the headlights ( complete with a reflexive, wide-eyed scan of the environment ) until settling upon a comically transparent polite, uh, perplexity. The laptop, his knuckles nudge low enough to offset the screen's contents which happen to be rather questionable. ]
Sir? [ Shifting to face the perfect stranger, his brows jump lightly, and he waves off a hand gently. ] Oh-- no, uh. You're, actually... You're fine. I'm almost done here, as it is. --Do you need the outlet?
Well lucky for me so far. [She did give a little laugh at that grin as their beers were brought to the table.] I mean I'd hate to buy you a beer just to have you not tolerate me right away. [She was very clearly teasing.]
You haven't done something stupid so. [He smirked but he was only half joking there. Shane was notorious for having a short fuse with people.] What is it you do?
I never had them. What keeps me interested is my job and being the best at it. Not to say I haven't seen other people do more than a few stupid things over the years. Mostly young kids with too much money.
It's a problem in Formula 1. These young kids get moved up the ranks and get signed to contracts, and suddenly think they're stars. It's one of the things I admire about my driver. I know I can trust her judgment.

[She motions for two beers before turning back to him.]
The idea of sun and lounging in a bikini sounds really appealing.
