It's real! I know real jokes. But science jokes are real too. Do you want a science joke?

I thought so too! I like jokes. They distract me. And so does Facebook. I took a lot of quizzes today and argued with someone about coconut oil.

Why did you argue about coconut oil?

...Someone said that it was unhealthy and somehow that became a hundred comment argument. I got hungry so I dropped it around the time the other woman blamed me for overpopulation.

...overpopulation? That's a bit of a stretch...

I think I let it go too far. I should have stopped it before she told me that having kids was worse than buying processed coconut oil.

Did you have fun at least?

...until I got hungry. I liked finding articles and linking them, and I found multiple sources. Do you ever miss writing papers?

...No? I kind of hated writing essays at school. I used to get Robbie to do them for me.

Oh... I liked writing them. I would have written yours for you. You're a dreamboat.

Janie.. are you okay?

[She's quiet for a long moment]

...No. I'm trying, I've got everything I ever wanted.

[He wraps his arms around her]

So... How do we fix this?

I have everything I ever wanted, and I'm scared that you'll all disappear if I don't keep you close.

I can't go anywhere...

What if something happens to you? Or... when I was a kid I used to disappear all the time. I didn't know how to get back and sometimes was gone for years.

It's harder to remember what I said when my powers are off.

Well... If something happens... I'm not a superhero but I can still do pretty good in a fight if I have to.

If you have to go away... I'll be here for you. You know that.

I don't want to go away. I want a happy and normal life with two kids and pets and all of the stuff that I never got. I don't want our kid to go through what I did. I don't want Lynn to have to worry about finding me in some weird place and starting over again.

Do you realize... [She trails off, and stares into space for a moment]

I'm not great at important stuff though... Not really.

[A second later she blinks and looks a little confused]

Important stuff like what?

[He touches her cheek]

You okay there? You faded out a minute.

It's because I'm blocking my powers. I'll be fine, and we've got plenty of money coming in so I don't need to go back to work.

We're going to have a perfect life.

Are you sure you should be blocking your powers though? I mean... is it healthy?

I never did it for this long before. Or spent this long without the time thing. Do you think... I should turn them back on?

I dunno. That's really up to you, Janie and what you think is best.

But I'm worried. Forgetting things... doesn't seem so good for you.

If you're worried... I'll stop. I just really wanted to be the best wife and mother. You deserve a perfect life.

[She carefully takes a necklace from her pocket and stares at it briefly]

I feel like I'm going to be sick. If I break the necklace, it shuts off the dampener and my powers come back. Maybe.

I love you. No matter what you decide to do.

[Janie breaks the necklace, and tiny beads fly everywhere. Janie's eyes close, and she starts to fall to the ground.

But her time travel is back. The clocks aren't working again]

[He catches hold of her and sinks down to the floor, holding her]

[Shes out for a little while, but slowly starts to slim down and look more like herself. ]

You're making a habit of saving me. [She smiles]

Naw. You save yourself.

No... Everything would be darker without you.

I have to go back to work, but after I get checked out at the clinic...
