[Will might just understand that explanation. Humans, after all, mean trouble to most non-humans. As it is, he knows when someone is holding back. It doesn't stop him from being friendly, though.]
I hate days like that. Let me buy you a cup of tea. Might help you settle down some...
(Ooc: about to go back to work, so will be tagging ultra slow for the next several hours. Will be back more regularly tonight :)
[ ooc: No problem, have a good rest-of-your-shift! ]
Oh, no - you don't need to do that.
[ Although, tea actually sounds like exactly what he needs right now. And it's that consideration that traitorously shows more clearly in his expression than his wanting to be polite. ]
[Will laughs softly, shaking his head. There are people out there who would call him very dangerous, but he's not a violent or reckless man, and he's always kind to those who haven't wronged him or his friends. And he's fiercely protective of those who need it, which has been called both his best and his worst quality.]
You can take my word. Let's go get that tea? Just don't tell my boss you saw me drinking any. She's British and we have a running feud over whether coffee is better than tea or not...
[ As they walk, Gabriel can feel the tension gradually leaving him bit by bit. ]
I was actually raised in London, but I've found that while we do better tea, America definitely does better coffee. Which is better in general though, that's a bit more subjective. I'm not sure we'll ever have an answer.
[ With a momentary realisation, he pulls his hand out of his pocket and offers it to Will. ]
And I've just realised I haven't introduced myself, I'm sorry - I'm Gabriel.

Don't be silly. I always insist on buying a guy tea when I've scared him into thinking it's going to come to violence...
Come on. There's a place near here, and I swear, I'm not as dangerous as my thinking-about-work expression implies...

[ That coaxes a genuine, shy laugh out of him. ] Thank you...I'm sure I can take your word for it.

Will Zimmerman, Gabriel. Good to meet you.
[He gives his hand a firm squeeze and a gentle shake, smiling.]
