Oh please, I've seen witches switch sides, and humans do whatever they want. Unless you're some stuck up feather duster... [ Cass watches him closely. She knows using that term for Angels is rude, but she's not in the mood to be nice really, blame the tequila she has in hand. ]
I'm a Runewarrior, my soul is bound to the Rune. Whomever controls the Rune controls me. I've fought under many masters both for the light and the dark people, leaving the world shattered and hated in my wake. I do as my Runemaster wishes. Whatever he wishes.
So you're some kinda magical slave? Don't they ever ask what you want? [ She's not mad at him, she just doesn't like other's used as soldiers when they don't want to get their hands dirty. Leaves a bad taste in her mouth, which she washes away with a swig of the tequilla]
[He frowns slightly at her choice of words. They aren't wrong. But "runeslave" is often used in a degoratory way.]
Yes. The Circle Mages sought something that was a cross of a soldier and a summoned beast and invented us. They commanded us to do their bidding and through that we built experience and tactics to employ. I remember everything that has happened.
Figured as much. But has to be better than getting stuck here because the hunt your family's on... [ She sighed shaking her head. She wasn't going in on that.] Doesn' matter.
[ She set the bottle down instead of throwing it. ]
Well fuck. [in the back of her mind she could almost hear her uncle complain about her language, but she shoved the voice down.]
Okay, seriously, have you had several of these masters? And if so where's the earliest one so I can send their ghost to hell or somethin' for this. Because one thing I hate is families being ripped apart because of magic. Then, it's demons who eat babies, but totally different topic.
I have had several masters over the years. The one whom bound me to this fate was Silverhand, the master of mirrors. He was a Circle Mage, killed during the Convocation War. His soul should be lost to the River of Souls forever. [He replies with a sudden edge to his tone. He fought against Hokan Ashir's undead, it was a living nightmare. As such he has no love for people relying upon any sort of necromancy. ]
[ She isn't sure what he's talking about, but how he says it. She reaches out for his shoulder. ]
I'm sorry. Here, you may need it more than I do. Just, don't drink up the worm at the bottom. It's gross. [ Her free hand offers the bottle. ] And have a seat okay, making me nervous.
Ta help purify the alcohol. At least I think that's why it's there. But trust me, you don't want to drink the water here. Though, not sure if it'll hurt you, but will give demons and vampires a little burn.
[And yes, there is a dead worm floating at the bottom of the bottle.]
And yes for a reason. [ She doesn't look like any priestess. Wouldn't want that role anyway, too many stipulations. ]
Friend of mine said that was the kind of trouble here, so... I came to deal with it. Take out the one in charge the rest scatter back to their little holes until something else drags them out.
I haven't fought demons since the Convocation War. Hopefully I won't have to again. The hordes of Uram the Red could turn one insane. Unless my Master decides to head to Mulandir.

Well, who holds the leash so I can punch 'em in the face, [ The hunter's serious too, it's not his fault for his situation. ]

I appreciate the offer m'lady, but no thanks.
[He wonders about her comment about the water aswell. It does sound rather strange.]
Why's the water bad for such creatures?

New York's devil's apparently a good guy, but well there's really not much difference between Lawyers and demons in LA.
And I swear all hospitals are run by vampires. Blood thirsty assholes.
