...Miss Quinn. You are very, very attractive. And I would be lying if I said I was not tempted. [He very gently extracts himself from her arm.] But it would be disrespectful to you to give in to that temptation on our first meeting. No matter how much I might like to. [Whoops, that slipped out.]
...Well. The summer is a good amount of time to get to know someone. [Kurt scoots his chair over a little closer to her.] If you would still be interested, of course. [It wasn't that he didn't like her enthusiasm. He did. He really did. But Kurt had never been a one-night-stand sort of man.]
[She looks up to meet his eyes when he scoots his chair over. There is no hiding the hope in her big blue eyes. The possibilities.]
Well d'uh I am still interested. Very interested. [Her fingers fiddle with her napkin. She might be the world's biggest flirt... but she is not a one-night-stand sort of girl.]
Would you like to move this to journals? Since it seems like they're getting a little serious
[She has... very beautiful eyes. He can't deny that. Reaching out, Kurt gently tucks a stray strand of blonde behind her ear before he can think twice about it.] Then, Harley... Perhaps I could take you to a play this weekend? There is a production of Wicked that I am told I must go to see... And I was not looking forward to going alone. My teammates are not the same lovers of musicals that I am.
I am starting to see why your students like you. [Kurt chuckles.]
I would go back to Germany, to camp and hike in the Black Forest again like when I was a young lad. It is beautiful, peaceful... [He sighs wistfully.] I miss my homeland.
I would love to go, but there is still much to be done here. Perhaps in a month or so things will slow down... [Besides, going camping alone isn't the most fun thing in the world.] Ah, well. What about you? Where would you go on vacation?
~Just go now. In a month we could all be dead.~ [Optimistic as always.]
~I want to say London, but I think that's just 'omesickness talking because I'd spend 'alf the time complaining about wot's changed and avoiding people and places I know. So. Someplace quiet.~
Always the optimist, Jonothon. [He grins.] Well, if you would ever like to go camping with me, it is plenty quiet out in nature, save for the birds and beasts. We will make sure not to go during any of the major mating seasons. Then it can be a tad noisy.
Ah, well... The deer can make quite a racket. You think they are quiet until it comes time for them to woo a lady. [It's hard to tell if he's joking or not.]
