No. I’m too angry all the time for people to ignore.

Anger puts me into a stereotype I’m trying to avoid.

Which is gross. you should be allowed to be angry.

I’m used to it, and if I’m safe then I’m not a target.

No.. it's because you need to survive. Survive first. Fight second. Sometimes there's an advantage to being quiet and good.

It was an advantage but it also means people think it’s okay to walk all over you. Why do some feel so entitled? They’re all the same and only care if you’re one of them.

Of course they do. People will ignore you until they can't and then treat you like shit unless you're useful.

I was once arrested for someone else hitting me. Proof means nothing... but as long as I don't miss work, I don't think I care too much.

They can't arrest you if a bird or a dog starts a fire. There's more to life than work you know. But if that's your thing it's your thing.

I don't want to get fired... I took a month off without notice. I'm lucky I'm still there.

If you get fired you get a new job. Pain in the ass maybe but not the end of the world.

When I got help to get out, I swore to keep my job. I need to do whatever it takes to stay there. My boss feels guilty but that won’t last forever.

Trauma counselor.

...Some really bad things happened to me, and I haven’t told anyone. I’m going crazy and she keeps telling me to see a trauma counselor in a safe place... but nowhere is safe.

I have a good friend who volunteers at a Women's Shelter. We can go see her. She's trustworthy and good at what she does.

I trust you. I can’t go back on that boat. Please don’t send me away.

No one is going to put you on any boat or send you anywhere.

My ex did so on a crowded street and no one cared.

That's not going to happen while I'm around. You might be afraid of him but I'm not.
