Pretty much everything I can think of and probably a few that I can't. Any animal I haven't seen before still catches my eye, though, because you never know if it has a new approach. Spiders are an interesting one, for example. You don't often get animals that can make traps like that, as far as I can tell. I should see if I can find a black widow, those are scary.

Good luck finding one of those around here. Maybe you can get one air mailed. I am sure some enthusiast out there would send a dangerous animal through the mail.

There might be a couple of regular house spiders, God knows they get everywhere. Not as exciting though.

Not as flashy, but they get the job done. I’m sure one or ten have stowed away in someone’s luggage.

There’s no way a spider and a handful of mice are gonna keep anything your size sated.


When the weather clears, we’ll try to get to the coast and see if we can round up something more substantial. Hopefully, there will be some extras we can bring back for...emergency rations.

Yeah. See if we can catch, I dunno, a few penguins maybe. I really don't wanna get hungry enough that I decide you guys are lunch.

If we make it to the coast, you might be able to snag something big in the water if you can do any sort of...I dunno...big alien marine life. Seals are a lot bigger than penguins....most penguins, anyway.

I know the others and I definitely don’t want you deciding we’re an option.

I'd be interested in some of both. New things interest me. *He thinks a moment.* I could put something together. Definitely flippers, they're a pretty simple concept. I know gills, gills are common enough that they're ingrained. I think the main problem is that the water would be dangerously cold . . . I could learn from the penguins for that, though.

That was me not bothering to avoid it. Maybe hoping to infect a few people, too. I wasn't exactly in the mood to limit collateral damage at the time.

Okay, so if it is all the same to you, I would like to bring a tarp to lay down so I can burn it when you are done. You said you didn’t want to be the end of the world, so I plan on taking extra steps to help when I can. I won’t torch it until you are well away from it. I just want to make sure we don’t leave any pieces of you behind.

Yeah, I managed to find one that did not get trashed. I intend to use it on defrosting and bloody tarps only.
