Anyone ever heard of a Rougarou?

I haven't. What is a rougarou supposed to be?

Some sorta werewolf....of the southern variety. I ain't ever seen one in the flesh myself...at least not yet...but I've been hearing rumors around town.

So, a monster? That's just a fairytale.

There's truth enough in fairy tales.

[Is that a metaphor, or...?]

What sort of truth? Do you mean insight into human nature?

Sure. There's that....but I also seen enough of this wild world to know there's room enough for a Rougarou.

[He'd dismiss the possibility, but does this man look like a liar?]

The frontier, those unexplored places. I've seen plenty out there that a lotta folks wouldn't believe...but it is there.

Spiders so big they can web up a man. Calico, a town that is normal most times of the year but when the Veil goes thin, is filled with all manner of ghosts and monsters. That sorta thing. Having seen all that...I would not be surprised if there was a Rougarou out there.

That huge? That's impressive. What do they eat? Men? Horses?

Both if they are given the opportunity. Anything they can get their claws on.

Absolutely. Those critters are hella good at keeping things in and out in turn. I'm just glad none made their way back to Frontier Town or I'd have my hands full.

Sounds like it. Some hellish creatures. Perhaps they should be exterminated.
