[[OOC: So I just gave you the description of an original character I sometimes write in the same universe as Nessie. Yan-Thi is part of a gang, and you can make up anything you like as a reason why your character is looking for her. :) ]]
I haven't heard any chatter about strangers in the area, [Nessie says smoothly.]
[But once he produces the picture, Nessie's heart beats a little faster. She does know the woman -- Yan-Thi Ngo is hard to confuse with anyone else. The short dark hair and dark eyes of her Vietnamese heritage might make her blend in with some crowds, but the prosthetic right arm that she never makes an effort to hide is a dead giveaway.]
Haven't noticed her around, [Nessie says, and that's the truth... Yan-Thi hasn't said anything about being in Nessie's neighborhood.]
[Is this guy a cop? Is that why he wants information on one of the Red Hood's lieutenants?]
[He was designed to notice every small detail. He picks up instantly that she knows something. But what she knows has yet to be determined.]
I do not feel as though they are strangers. Which is why I am here.
[He places the image back into his pocket. He got the response he was looking for. He takes the limited information he has. She hasn't seen her around however she did not say that she had never seen her before.]
So you have seen her before?
ooc; Awesome I will try and write them appropriately if I butcher anything let me know! I figure basically taking new deviant androids and using them for crime or something? We can hash it out as it feels comfortable i'm open mostly voice testing after super hiatus from rp LOL
[[OOC: The gang using androids could work! They control a lot of the drug and weapons trade, but one thing they definitely don't like is when dealers sell to kids. Wherever you feel androids could fit in to the operation is fine with me.]]
I didn't say that. [Nessie says, striving to sound calm.] Maybe I don't know anything about this woman.
I generally feel as though people who have little to no involvement with someone I’m inquiring about don’t tend to start the conversation with such an open ended statement.
[He’s on the right track given the fact that she’s back tracking now and he can sense a somewhat unsettled air about her.]
Perhaps I have misunderstood you, it’s just she’s been seen in this area by others.
[He eases off her. A calculated move on his part least she entirely retreat. ]
What's the problem with her being in this area, anyway? [Nessie jerks her chin toward the pocket where he put the picture back. Her tone is markedly sarcastic.] Some busy-body with too much free time object to someone with an obvious disability showing up, bringing down home values?
[You haven't given Nessie any reason why you're looking for Yan-Thi, but given their mutual involvement (at different levels) with the Red Hoods, Nessie doesn't think it can be for anything good.]
Well... [The small LED light on his temple flashes straight to red for a moment or two and Connor seems to take a moment to respond. When he finally does his voice is less agreeable and more angry.] I have been investigating this particular individual for taking recent Deviants and using them for nefarious purposes.
[There's your purpose. He's gone beyond trying to be subtle given the attitude he's just received. He's mad now, as mad as something with a limited scope of emotions can be.]
Specifically as drug mules is why I'm investigating. The public already has a poor opinion on Androids. Humans do not need to make that worse.[His tone is bitter and dry. Especially when it comes to the last bit about humans.]
On the scale of not wanting them in the neighborhood because of that and a 'disability' which do you truly think people should be more concerned about. You know more than you are saying. I do not wish to play games.
[The sarcasm was a distraction, and it got her the result she wanted -- knowing what he wants with Yan-Thi. Nessie doesn't usually have anything to do with the drug side of the Red Hood operation; the leader doesn't stand for anything to do with human trafficking, and Nessie is on hand for her connections to social services. But, in for a penny...]
What happens to an android when they're acting as a drug mule and the bag bursts?
[Kav can't honestly remember if the owners used a service droid or if it was just a collegiate aged young lady doing the work. He isn't much for small talk and certainly hadn't bothered to learn her name. But he remembers liking this woman enough for respecting his introverted nature.]
It's just up the block from my apartment, but I haven't noticed any police or the like out, so I don't think there was an attempted robbery. Uhm.
[Shit.]
It's been opening late the last two weeks or so. I haven't been able to stop in on my way to work.
When it comes to Kona coffee yep! The floral hints with the acidity of the bean. Almost like being in heaven, if Heaven to you is a nice sea side beach with perfect waves for surfing and no Mainlanders ruining the vibes.
[She looks at the picture]
Sorry, haven't seen them. They in trouble or are they trouble?
[Taylor's not too worried, the guy doesn't look tougher than some of her buddies, even if they've thrown her around a bit sparing.]
