I can't say he's the best example to follow, Captain.

His accomplishments stands for themselves. He was a pioneer and explorer. But yes, there was a backside to him as with many others. Still, I find inspiration in the captains of the past in my own journey.

I would say sorry for your loss, but the timelines around here are rather... messy. [She can certainly understand. She knew how her older safe reacted after Tuvok's death.]

Oh, he was? I can see why. Being a captain comes with many duties. [She avoids the subject, knowing that she was less than an ideal patient herself.]
