I really disliked it. I read the first three books and wasn't overwhelmed by awesome and yet this book actually surprised me with how terrible it was. In my humble opinion, of course.
It really did. The whole pregnancy thing was the most insipid of plot twists. Meyer's vampires don't bleed, they don't cry, they don't have to breathe and yet they can still manage to impregnate someone?
The whole book seemed more rushed than anything. As though it wasn't properly planned and then the "happy ending" was tacked on at the end.
I'm pretty sure she was in a rush to get it out. She probably should have just waited because while her other book this year, The Host was amazing and kind of inspired (sigh i love it) Breaking Dawn obviously suffered for it.
It was definitely not a great book but for what it was (glorified fanfic) I actually liked it. Or it entertained me, I should say.
Most likely, yes. The Host was an interesting idea as well, but I personally thought it suffered from the necessary happy ending once again.
Well, we all have our opinions and preferences. Certain parts were amusing-I liked banter between the werewolves, for example-but on the whole, I found it disappointing.
