The Peacekeepers, a totalitarian protection state - essentially a criminal syndicate that makes itself a military government.

Perhaps people could be allowed to make their own choices without the interference of others at all. Your war with the Scarran isn't just between you. Every world you pass is pulled in by the gravity of your hate. Peaceful worlds that want nothing to do with any of us, worlds that should be left alone.

Earth was very nearly dragged into all of it and they exist on the other side of a wormhole.

Your war is the end for everyone, not just your enemy.
