It just does. Some god with too much power and not enough people to mess with makes you one.

Or the Old Man does it, but He hasn't done that in a great many years. New gods now are born to or suckered by older gods. It's mostly a birth thing these days, none of the gods who could have done it have the power to do it. And the Old Man doesn't care enough.

Depends on the god. I tend to not really pay them, on the whole, much mind. They, after all, have nothing on me. Only the Old Man has any Power to do anything to me, so He's the only One I have to worry about. And He does not care.

He is the Creator. All that you see, all that you do not see, He created. He has the Power of Life everlasting or eternal damnation. He hold sway over all things, watching and guarding.

Or, at least, that's the party line.

Personally, I think He's up there, in Heaven, playing tiddlywinks with the archangels and watching His various experiments succeed or fail.
