I didn't get to the northern part of the state, but Santa Barbara was nice when I took a day trip there. I get enough pine trees at home.

If you're ever looking for a change of scenery, you should try Chicago, we have rain and snow in spades.

Wonderful to know that the ADAs of Gotham are completely unable to detect sarcasm, have no sense of humor and don't feel that their boss is capable of defending himself.

When we have plenty of people demanding that Mr. Dent immediately make Gotham a wonderful place, yes, we tend to get annoyed and not like sarcasm.

Mr. Dent is entirely capable of defending himself, but that does not mean that I will just ignore when something is said against him. I admire him and all the work he is doing to try and help Gotham.

The point you've entirely missed, and seem quite determined to miss is that it was a joke. Try borrowing Mr Dent's dictionary and looking up 'irony'.
