Friends of friends. *sighs* I lost contact with all my friends after...and then I moved. The only people I know don't want me in their lives now because I refuse to keep waiting for the end of the world.
I'm just tired of watching those around me find happiness and end up hiding away from everything because...just because.
Starting over can be challenging but it's also a chance to be who you want and to decide what type of people to surround yourself with.
Make the most of it.
I think you should find what makes you happy instead of looking for a person to give you happiness. You might end up meeting someone wonderful when you least expect it. I know I did.
I had things that made me happy. My music was the most important thing to me. I had to give up my band and everything when I was younger because of what happened.
I still have my music but I don't have anything else. Not any more. It's so hard to walk through the world and see all those things you were forced to give up.
I was bitten by a werewolf when I was younger, and not the kind that changes at the full moon, the kind that can change when ever.
After mum realised what had happened she sent me away to friends of hers who were wolves too and they looked after me for the years it took to show me how to control what I was.
I...oh...well, that is to say...um...I can see how that might be trying.
Still, I think there are people who would be willing to accept you for who you are and overlook what you are. After all, you didn't choose this, it just is.

It does take time, though, to make the sort of connection you seem to be looking for. Relationships don't transpire over night in my experience.

Leaving things behind should be a choice, not something that's forced.
