[he was still watching her from that small patch of ground he was shielded within, and smiled as he paused from texting back a moment.. just watching her. How her hair lifted in the breeze, the way she brushed it away when it got in her eyes. It seemed to happen a lot to her and he wondered why she wouldn't tie it up.. but every time she did, he just wanted to take it down again.. mess her up...]
sort of. stay put, and i'll meet ya?
[getting to his feet, he heard the rustle of movement nearby and signalled the Shadow to follow him as he left the park to do something...]
[She was so used to her hair that brushing it out of her way or tucking it behind her ear was like breathing. It just happened. While she waited for him to text back, she glanced around at the other people in the park, doing their own thing. She felt her phone buzz in her hand and read the text, smiling.]
Ok, can you find me?
[She looked around for him, thinking maybe he was closer than she thought but she didn't see him anywhere.]
[he tucked his cell back into his jeans and walked on. About ten minutes later, he's back.. with iced tea for them both... getting rid of the Shadow and letting him take his break for the day until he asked him back. He wanted paying but Nick knew better than to go halfways... these guys just bolted on you when they wanted...]
Hey. [he murmured, leaning over the back of the bench and pressed a kiss to her neck] Mm... told you I'd find ya.
[She read those words and they made her smile. It reminded her of when he'd have to leave her for days at a time but always came back to her.]
I'll be right here waiting.
[As promised, she didn't move until she heard his voice and she leaned her head back, looking at him upside down.] Hey. How did you know just where I was in the park? Lucky guess?
