There are a lot of different flavors of danger, for instance. Some you'll regret more for indulging than others. Also, do you just like danger? Is it a preference or is it more of a compulsion?
Oh you have no idea, I can be downright adorable when I want to be.
As for the questions, I think they're a good thing. We seem to be afraid of difficult questions. I don't know if it's the challenge or the fear of being wrong, but people tend to shy away from them. It's tragic.
I don't mind. I just may not give the answer most won't. I've not hidden the things I've done, the person I've been and will be. I worked too hard to be what I wanted to let fear stop me anymore.
So why are you warning about the company one keeps?
It's okay, I've run into that problem before and there are remedies for that, you know.
I know people much older than you who aren't that mature. It's refreshing.
Some of the people around here got me thinking about associations. People choose to be associated with a questionable person for one reason or another. The questionable person, usually, perhaps even inevitably, does something questionable and the associator is somehow shocked. Just makes me think people should be more selective with their company.
There was a time when I didn't have a beating heart at all but currently those are past.
I might be older than I seem.
Oh dear God, you don't mean the useless lot that go around trusting Hank and then being shocked when he acts like, well, Hank? Given the hell that man put me through, I find anyone that gives him the time of day to definitely be the sort you want to think twice about associating with.
It's hard to imagine you heartless. Possible, certainly, hell could even be plausible considering we're newly acquainted and I don't know you well. But still, hard for me to picture.
You might be, but then again, I might be and the ... friends I had in mind are a couple centuries old.
A gentleman doesn't name names. But lets say, for the sake of argument, that you read my mind. What has the cyborg done to you?
You might be very surprised the things I can do and I'm capable of. I like that you don't see it though. Also, I meant quite physically. I have a form wherein I have no beating heart. Or I did.
... Okay then. I'm not quite that old.
I can't do that anymore either, sadly enough. He developed some sort of crush, I was in love with another. His reaction was pitiful to say the least and he then began taking potshots at me for not bending to his world view of the world. Quite what he seems to be doing to Norrin now.
Well, suppose you're a little chemically altered and you run into a guy who you think seems nice enough, but really, he turns out to be a blood thirsty psychopath.

Trouble and complicated sum up my life.
I don't need it to live. I do accept it's part of the life I lead and what I am.

He's an interesting character, the cyborg. Also, I'm not really surprised by any of that.

It's why I'm no longer surprised by two things. The lengths he'll go to... or the number of times new people will trust only to be betrayed.
