Amazing day, Dad. Amazing few days. How was YOUR day? *hugs him*

I'm glad, baby. Why so amazing? *hugs her back and smiles* It was okay. Same old really. Desk jobs aren't really fun as you know, I prefer the field.

It just... has been. *for some reason, she feels weird telling him about everything* Ugh. Are they ever going to let you back in the field? For god's sake. *makes a frustrated sound, because she knows how horrible it is for him*

Oh... well, I'm glad it's been so amazing. *has a feeling she's hiding something but he doesn't push it, she's old enough to have her own secrets now* I don't know. Maybe. One day. I don't see what their fucking problem is but I can't argue with the brass. Not unless I want to get fired. *laughs*

*smiles and flops down on the sofa, reaching for a book and punching her pillow into shape so she can read comfortably* they are a bunch of assholes, Dad. Want me to go yell at them. I think I could still scare Kenny... Which amuses me. *opens the book and then looks over it at him* No getting fired. I've got college in two years.

*smiles and watches her, sitting down on the sofa next to her, half reaching for his magazine and then stops himself, picking up his book instead* They really are. You don't need to, Jay, although the look on his face is still priceless! *snerks* No, no getting fired. Someone has to put you through college after all! And no one better than your Dad. *grins*

I was only 12! How he got terrified by a 12 year old is beyond me. *NODS* That's VERY true. Someone that will come in and cook for you and hug you when you need it and see all of your amazingness... God knows you need all of that. Especially someone to cook. You can get pretty damn scary when you're angry, Jay! *laughs* I'm great! *swats at her foot playfully and laughs* Silly girl. I'll be just fine! I'm perfectly capable of looking after myself and anyway I've got ~~his~~ my work to do. They'll put me back on field eventually.

I suppose I can. But I didn't think I was THAT bad. *grins* This is very true. You ARE great. Amazing! Awesome even! *giggles, doing it again* I'm not silly. I'm VERY SERIOUS, see? *puts on a fake serious face, falling to giggles after a few seconds* I know, I know, but I hate the thought of you being alone, Dad. *really does look serious* They damn well better. *crosses her arms, nodding once*

You can be. *snerks with a grin* It can be a very good thing though, it means no one is ever going to take advantage of you. You'd kick their asses in a heartbeat! *grins more, and laughs when she does, so very amused* Yes yes, if you say so, Johnna. *winks* I'm never really alone baby, I've always got things to be doing, it isn't really fair to try and start a relationship if I'm always busy. *nods* They will, they'll have to eventually, Bill left yesterday, gave his notice.

I DO say so, Dad. I know myself VERY well, after all. *smiles and nods a little* But you can't work all the time. That's boring. *frowns a little* Bill left? Why did he go? Did he get a transfer?

*opens his mouth to speak but he can only nod, there isn't a day that goes by where he isn't reminded of WHOSE exactly she was and it was only getting stronger every single day*

I think we're both just a touch silly! Runs in the family. *winks and laughs more* Work isn't always boring and you know how I enjoy it.
