Far as I'm concerned, it's been the weekend since last night.

But I got the satisfaction this morning of waking up when I felt like it.

About half an hour ago. I woke up earlier, looked at the clock and it was like, 6:45 and I just turned over and went back to sleep.

The first week is all very slow. I filled out a lot of emergency contact forms and reviewed last year's material so that by next week we can get to the new stuff. In gymnastics, we're teaching the newbies how to stretch so they don't twist anything and we're talking about who will be captain.

In English we got a list of vocabulary words for a quiz on Monday and have to write a short paper about "a life altering event" and review our summer reading. Oh, I might be qualified for a Letterman jacket.

You should be captain.

Letterman jacket? Like in Grease?

I'm hoping to be, but a senior almost always gets to be captain.

Yeah. They've changed a little since Danny was trying to get his, but same basic thing. You get it for participation in sports and things like that.
