Why do humans get drunk?

*confused*

As the boy Sam would say: Because they are idiots.

Idiots. It's for no real reason?

Some drink to escape life. Makes them forget for a bit. Comes back worse after and they get headaches and sick from the drinking.

Why do something that will make you ill?

Because they are idiots?

Back to idiot.

To try and feel better.

...It's not only humans.

How does it make you feel better?

...have you ever done it?

I'm not human, I have no need.

I said it's not only humans who do.

It would not do anything to me.

What are you?

A machine.

...I don't think you need to worry about drinking.

They want to forget about their problems.

Does it make you forget?

So they don't have to cope with life.

Is life that bad?

For some, yeah.

I'm sorry.

For what? I'm not much of a drinker.

For life getting that bad.

Hm... when they're miserable to try and feel better - which never works. Or when they're happy to try to have a good time, which sometimes works.

If it doesn't work, why do it?

To remember, to forget. Because it's fun. Because we're scared.
