(no subject)

Spider-Man is such a fame whore.

The guy in the tight red lycra suit? What'd he do now?

[identity profile] reportresurrect.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 09:18 am (UTC)(link)
Ahh. You'd prefer he stop that?

[identity profile] reportresurrect.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 09:28 am (UTC)(link)
People that do what he does generally have a line of people waiting to help them stop breathing.

Don't understand the lycra/rubber whatever fetish either.

It's the cost of what they do. Believe me, I know from experience that if you continually put yourself in the middle of someone else's business somebody somewhere is going to try and remove you from the equation.

It does look awfully cartoonish. He just needs a cape and he'd look like Mighty Mouse.

It's both really, Mr Osborn. I've been burning the candle at both ends. Working late and up early. Contrary to conventional wisdom it's not the way to get healthy, wealthy or wise. It is an extremely efficient way of getting tired, crabby and sluggish.

What about you?

That's about it. Unfortunately I haven't gotten any response to my request for more hours in a day.

You have my sympathies, insomnia and I have done that tango before.

If you're juggling bowling balls it's easier to keep them in the air if you can keep your eyes on them.

Ha! You're going to have to insist on leading next time.

Hmm...the straightforward approach? I could give that a shot.

Flatterer. I promise to let you lead.

Just so long as it's not a foxtrot. I'm terrible at the foxtrot.

[identity profile] reportresurrect.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 10:18 am (UTC)(link)
I won't forget.

[identity profile] im-ironman.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Not a fan of his, I take it?

I'm observant like that.

And here I thought the guy was pretty popular.

Most "heroes" are. I think that's the only real reason they do what they do.

Really heroes, if they even exist, don't need tabloid attention. They just do what they have to do.

Hey, I resent that. It's not my fault the camera loves me.

Whatever pays the bills, Harry.

You are completely correct. I mean, some of us use costumes and nom de guerres simply as marketing techniques - seriously, cutting-edge research is expensive, and it's hard to find backers willing to invest in distilling the essence of psychological instability without getting the government involved(oh, don't get me started there) - but these...vigilantes are just pathologically narcissistic without having the courage to use their real faces.

Also, they like hitting people. Thugs!
