Man, the only thing I want to know about my representatives, is their voting record. They want to let their kids get knocked up, have openly gay children, ten mistresses and twenty bastards, and wears tutus in the oval office? I say go for it.

Not exactly the sort of past I'm speaking of in this case. I'm more speaking of the sort of past that involves encouraging incarceration based on DNA rather than actions or deeds, and now saying that you've had a change of heart and that this past stance is no longer applicable.

I did. Then I was outted as a mutant and it got ugly and I stepped out of politics. Funny how they accepted the mental hospital and stripping but not my DNA.

To politics, elections and the promises they make while in office. If one has a past that runs in direct conflict with their current touted party line one has to wonder if the change was of heart... or desire to take office and work their desires from behind the scenes. It's very hard to effect change from the outside.

So one should trust someone based on what might be true? When you are speaking the lives of many I see no reason to trust someone on the possibility their change of heart is nothing more than lies.
