I didn't pay much attention to him before, but the way he handled Caesar's death was cowardly. Still, I can appreciate that he thought he was doing the right thing.
It was probably what kept him from trying to kill me, after all.
((Isn't it? The line about the Lichter's Guild always kills me. XD))
In retrospect, I suppose I can say the same. Also, at the time, I did not know the whole story and even then, my station in life prevented any opinions from flying out of my mouth.
Good point.
ooc - (:D And Antony pissing in the plant pot was priceless!!))
Arrange a small mob with knives to jump one aging unarmed man? I don't think there's much to question.
They under estimated me, like so many others. It was ... the one who didn't that brought me down in the end.
((I know right. The reaction shot when Cicero gets an eyeful of Antony's unit is priceless. That whole cast was great. Just ... all the characters were riveting. I miss the show.))
(ooc in place of previous comment. I blame lack of sleep - I realize it was Octavian who took the liberty of having persons deal with Cicero. *headdesks*)
((*patpat* Rome is a very politically heavy drama with many characters and that makes it very difficult to keep who did what straight. Also, because I try to research Antony and keep him as historically accurate as possible I have to juggle\remember what lines up between history and the show and what doesn't. And? The shows been off the air for what 2-3 years now? I'm sure people will end up catching me goof something too. All that was the longwinded version of its all good. XD ))
Not a fool so much as naive. He romanticized the deed of killing Caesar. Thought it was the right thing to do and that it would solve all the problems he saw developing.

Yes, Octavian did rather have your number summed up quite nicely.no subject
He did. The boy was very cunning. Beat me at my own game while I was holding most of the cards, as it were.no subject
