Do you go out of your way in order to not cause offense or are you just nice?

I am normally just nice, though sometimes I have to go out of my way to be nice. Especially to puppets. In the past week I have gone out of my way to be nice five times.

I do it because everyone deserves a friendly face. It's not exhausting.
