I... have a date Friday night?

... help?

[identity profile] theluckster.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you suprised about that?

Whatcha planned so far?

[identity profile] theluckster.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, so the person asked you out then?

I was figuring you asked someone out, in which usually you'd plan the dinner and movies or whatever.

Whatcha gonna wear?

.....oh and hi! I'm Clover Riley. But you can call me Chloe.

[identity profile] theluckster.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
You guess?

Are your eyes blue? What shade? Button down or polo? I'd vote for button down, and if your eyes are blue, incorperate shades that are close. Or like..dark blue. That really pretty shade thats above royal but below simple dark blue.

Nice to meet you Clark.

Sorry, I totally just went off on you with fashion ideas.

[identity profile] theluckster.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww! Thats so awesome.

Sorry. I tend to...yeah. Ignore me. Wear whatever makes you happy.

Any idea where you'll go?

A date. Some modern term for a liason?

[identity profile] giac-casanova.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
*Unphased*
Something more formal then. Nothing wrong with that, are you in love with the lady in question?

[identity profile] giac-casanova.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
So it's not so much a date, as a meal with an acquaintance. Which begs the question.. why are you worrying about it?

((ooc: Apologies for Giac's obtuse-ness XD))

Riiight.
In which case there's obvious confusion, on your part, if you don't mind me saying. But whether you fancy the young lady or not, you might want to consider approaching the event from both perpectives...

Do you though? Fancy her?

[identity profile] giac-casanova.livejournal.com 2008-09-09 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Strangers? Well that doesn't change how attractive a woman is to a man..
Never mind.

You do want to go on this date I take it?

[identity profile] giac-casanova.livejournal.com 2008-09-09 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Of course not.

Oh that's VERY romantic. You ..don't do this kind of thing all that much do you?

[identity profile] giac-casanova.livejournal.com 2008-09-09 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Giac, please.

Maybe I can help... Here. If it's friendship, then treat it as friendship. I'm sure a man like you knows how to treat a friend... even if she IS a virtual stranger. If it's attraction, treat it as friendship, because that way you won't end up getting slapped in the face and you may actually end up enjoying yourself... if it turns into love, then I'm sure the lady concerned will let you know all about it.
See? Easy!

Welcome. I'm going to be nice and assuming the datee is female. Who is picking the outing?

[identity profile] firemotion.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Because if I asked, a lot of men would find it extremely offensive, Clark. Apparently you're one of the nicer, open-minded types.

... I have never been on a date before, so take my advice with that in mind. Since she asked, I think you get to choose. I think.

[identity profile] firemotion.livejournal.com 2008-09-09 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
No problem.

You know, libraries have books on this kind of thing. Or you could google 'dating etiquette' or somesuch.

[identity profile] firemotion.livejournal.com 2008-09-09 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
That's because everyone assumes that you know what to do on a date these days, seeing as how it's such a huge part of Western culture. So, yeah, try the Google thing.

Besides, I kind of owe you for putting me in Ms Lane's path for my story.

[identity profile] firemotion.livejournal.com 2008-09-09 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Welcome.

She is. I mean, we talked for two hours today, and she's going to try and verify some of the people involved in all the experiments. I promised I'd stick around.

Going apartment hunting tomorrow.

[identity profile] firemotion.livejournal.com 2008-09-09 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
I do owe you a coffee someday, in a completely non-date setting.

And thanks, on both accounts.

[identity profile] xthegrimreaperx.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I told you that you would not be alone for long. Congratulations.

[identity profile] xthegrimreaperx.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It is still human interaction, which is important. Hopefully it will make you feel less alone.

[identity profile] dial-a-psychic.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, you´re acting as if this was your first date...

[identity profile] dial-a-psychic.livejournal.com 2008-09-09 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. *pauses* So... at least do you know where are you taking her?
