*stares at him for a second until she finally gets it and blushes* I think you'll fit just fine. *smiles* I'm Sophie. What's your name, lovely assistant? *giggles*
"A pleasure, Marlon" she said with a smile. Then she pointed to a little table, where a knife and four paper cups rested. "It's a new illusion, and kida of dangerous. But I've been practising, so I'm think I'm ready." Sophie handed him the handkerchief and turned around. "Check that the cloth doesn't have any kind of hollow or trap, and then blind me, please."
Uh...okay. *He takes the handkerchief, feels it very carefully and examines both sides of it very closely even pressing it over his own eyes* Seems like a legit hanky to me. So...what? I just tie this over your eyes?
"That's the first part, yes." She explained. "Then, I want you to put in a line the four paper cups with the open part down, one enst to each other, and hide the knife udner one of them. Make sure the knife is standing up, and I must be fully blinded not to see where you hided it."
Are you gonna do what I think you're gonna do?...Well nevermind. We'll see. *He carefully ties the blindfold around her face in a secure, snug fit then checks her eyes until he's certain they're covered.*
Alright, I will now hide the knife! *If there was a trick to the blindfold, he wanted to give her time and space to use it. God forbid something should go wrong. He stood the knife carefully under one of the cups and then made sure they were all lined up exactly as they had been.*
"Ok, here we go..." She took a deep breath. She could do this.
Sophie walked slowly with a hand in front of her until she touched the table. Once there, she put her hand up very high, took another breath and let it down full speed.
She crushed one of the cups without problem. Putting her hand up again, she repeatad the action. Second cup, safe. When there were only two remaining, she breathed again and tookk a little longer, but did it anyway. Hand up, then down quickly, another crushed cup... with nothing under it.
She sighed with relief and then smiled while taking off the clothe on her eyes. "How was that?"
Sophie just grinned. She picked up the cup, showed him that indeed, the knife was still there, and then put the cup on it again.
Leaving the handkerchief on the table, she raised her hand once again. It started to go down full speed... she touched the cup... and crushed it no problems. There was nothing under it.
"Better now?" She asked smiling, but breathing slowly at the same time, her body still filled with adrenaline.
*smiles* Thank you very much. *stretches her hand to touch his ear, and makes her card appear from behind it* If you happen to visit Florida, come and see my show!
