Not saying that it's easy to trust, but you're right, there's a difference. And it's nice. Having people, whether you realize it or not.

Easy or not, mostly I just find it inconvenient. And having only oneself doesn't exactly lead to a miserable existence.

It can, but the chances aren't any more likely than if you surround yourself with people. In fact, I dare say it's trusting people that can so often lead to misery.
