Peninnah sat down and pulled up her skirt. The whole right leg from ankle to just above the paw is almost double the size of the other and a check under the fur would show the skin is bruise. Just moving to sit causes extreme pain in her expression though she remains quiet. I am worried as I have never been injured before.
RuairĂ's brow furrows at the swelling and her wince. Kneeling before her chair, he reaches out to place his fingers on the injured area in a feather-light touch. Warmth seeps from his fingers, through the fur and into Peninnah's ankle as he sends tendrils of energy to investigate the damage.
Have you been able to bear weight on it at all, lass?
Bruised skin, strained muscle, twisted tendon, blood vessels strained by the demands of the injury ... RuairĂ seeks deeper, to the bones themselves. On the way he soothes the damaged flesh with subtle nudges of fae energy, easing pain and swelling bit by bit.
I'm not finding a break, but it is badly wrenched. You'll need to stay off it for a while, Peninnah.
OOC to mun: If you actually want Peninnah's ankle to be broken for some reason, give me a nudge and I'll rewrite this bit. :)
He smiles gently. I'll be fine, a chara. Normally something like this wouldn't tire me at all, but my healing power has been much called on recently. Tossing his hair back, he gives himself a shake like a restless horse. I'll recover quickly enough. I always do.
Do you have a first-aid kit here, lass? If not, I know where I can get a pressure bandage for your ankle.

Normally you need x-rays, but I might be able to help.

I did when I had to. It was very painful but I have not tried to walk on it since last night.
She was very afraid that it was broken or otherwise damaged it. I landed on it roughly and when I did not have my balance properly.

I can not afford to stay off of my leg. I must tend to the church.
OOC: nah. it's fine. I was goign to tell you to just go with instinct but forgot the OOC everytime I replied. LOL

You'll need crutches then, and to elevate it whenever you do sit down. The more you can keep your weight off of it, the faster it will heal.
At last he straightens, rubbing the back of his neck and stretching his shoulders. He looks tired.
That's as much as I can do magically for now, but I can strap it up to keep it from swelling again.

Peninnah frowned when she saw his exhaustion.
You need to rest. My ankle can wait until you have rested. Can I get you anything?

Peninnah shook her head. I do not believe there is a first aid kit here. I do not normally require attention.
Peninnah gazed at her foot, worried. Perhaps this was more of her mortality coming and taking her farther from what she once was.
