Maybe things will be different now.

Now?

Sort of vague I know, but things always change everywhere else but here. Now something's changed.

As long as it's not someone who has supposedly changed.

No I've been through enough of that in my short life to be able to safely say this is not about a guy.

It doesn't even have to be a guy. It's just.. people, in general. They don't change.

Well in general a lot of things can be true, but I've seen people change.

People modify their behavior sometimes, but they're still the same person.

That's a depressing outlook, but I guess looking at it that way has some truth.

What makes you say that?
