Why would I not find those interesting? I find many things very interesting. What should I expect of a gentleman?

A gentleman is expected to partake of certain hobbies and to acquire a certain set of skills. Fencing, shooting, riding, cards. All are supposedly designed to distinguish ourselves from the uncouth.

I am uncouth then, because I enjoy cards and riding, and I am no gentleman.
