Well, of course it is.

It's not as bad as it used to be. It might as well not mean anything.

It's like a birthday, except horrible. I just thought cake might be inappropriate.

...Well, it's not as bad. Now that I have the whole picture. And I don't exactly feel like I'm about to make a fool of myself in front of everyone by spacing out ~~and fainting face-first in blood, I'm not sure if I'll ever really live that one down~~.

But I do almost feel like celebrating. Survival and birth. Maybe brooding with a beer would be more appropriate.

I have faith in you-- you'll always be able to space out and make a fool of yourself, Dex.

Maybe that's why I weird Doakes out. Not everyone can be as hyperfocused as he is.

Honestly, though, my impression of him is that he doesn't like anybody. He just likes you less.

What do you think, porterhouses or filet mignon? We could always get cake later. Or donuts, right? That's your sugary drug of choice, if I'm not mistaken.

I dunno, I think he and LaGuerta are pretty close... Not that I'm the kind to start office rumors.

I can go for either right about now; I'm not exactly picky when it comes to good food. Like donuts. Today was another one of those days when the box got cleaned out before I could snag the last one for myself.

Starting rumors couldn't hurt; after all, if people are watching them in the hopes of sordid inter-office excitement, they're not watching you. Besides, I'm sure you enjoy making his life difficult at least a little, right?

We had porterhouses last time, no reason to get in a rut, right? I'll just see what looks good.

He's the only one that watches anyway. Masuka's too busy watching Deb, LaGuerta's too busy watching her own ass, Doakes just seems to be the only problem. ...Hm. I might start a little whisper anyway, so long as nobody can trace it back to me. The last thing I need is him trying to beat me down on his own time again.

I still say you could just get rid of him, but, well. I know you can be touchy about that kind of thing.
