*foraging beneath a bare berry bush*

*moving quietly, following the tracks of a small animal*

*busily collecting the few remains of fallen berries that have been forgotten by birds, bundling them into the improvised sack made by her cloak*

*stalks closer, peering low to the ground, spots her.. slowly reaches behind his back*

*pulls the sack over her shoulder, having yet to notice anything out of the ordinary*

*looks around slowly and then pulls a small pouch out, takes out a peice of bread and breaks a few peices off setting them down on the ground*

*ears twitch as she hears a noise behind her and with a quiet squeak of surprise she darts into the thorns. Her instincts are to run first, ask questions later*

*watches her scamper off and smirks slightly, settles back against a tree and closes his eyes*

*peeks cautiously back through the thorns, spotting the bread and too enticed to simply leave it there*

*listens and peeks carefully*

*twists her paws nervously, careful to stay within the relative safety of the thicket* He-hello.

*blinks in surprise* What?

Hello? *steps forward warily* Uh, I- I'm Mrs. Brisby.

*frowns, a little confused* ...You're a mouse, and you're talking. As far as knew that wasn't possible.

Have you ever, uh - *swallows thickly, taking another step forward, laying a paw on a low branch* - tried speaking to a mouse? Before, I mean?

*thinks about that for a moment* ...no.

*tilts head* Then how would you know?

*shrugs* I guess I wouldn't.

She stumbles through the brush, muttering about being lost and catches sight of the small rodent.

Oh! A RAT. She tries to keep a few steps away, but raises her $250 Stuart Weitzman heels at the same time.

*squeaks in surprise, dropping the few berries she's managed to find and dashes beneath the bush, pressing herself into the thick of the hedge*

Staggers trying to get a good aim while standing on one leg. Good thing I'm wearing my cheap pair.

Chucks her shoe at the bush...and it falls short.
