I know this will be shocking, but.. He doesn't want you to fail. You failing reflects poorly on him. So, ask for help, rather than just accepting that you're going to fail and making it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Talk to him before school if you can, so you're not using the class time he needs to teach. Or ask him during class when you can meet with him for further help.
