I'll third it, just to underscore how long it's been.

What's made your week so hard?

Double shifts, lost almost as many as we saved this week. Which is always hard for me. I'd rather the numbers not be so close.

I'm sorry to hear that. What do you do?

That's a very honorable, and demanding job.

I help people, just not as noble as you.
I'm a journalist embedded in Uganda.

Uganda? That's a war zone.
Man, my hat's off to you for that.

I'm putting together a quite lengthy piece on the life of Ugandans. It's hard sometimes...

From what I've read, it's pretty bad out there. Are you doing stories more on the military aspect or a day in the life of a simple family?

A simple family. It's hard, they had a loss recently, one of their sons. I couldn't help but mourn with them.

It's always hard losing family.

I don't think 'troubling' quite covers it. Seen too many families ripped apart while on shift.

It was your friend Clark who did most of the saving by getting that antidote. Might have helped a little, though. How are
you
doing?

You helped make sure he was still around to get the antidote.
I'm ...good. Busy all the time, you know?

That's my job, Chloe.
I know, yeah. Lots of things going on in your life.
... Wouldn't want to meet for coffee tomorrow? As friends, of course. My day off tomorrow.

I know, but you could have pushed. Instead you trusted me. I appreciate that a lot.
Sometimes I feel more like a firefighter moving from one crisis to the next.
I'd like that. Just ask anyone, offer me coffee and I'll follow you anywhere.

Well, I came very close to pushing. But you're welcome.
I don't doubt that.
Really... I'll have to remember that. There's a coffee house not too far from Isis, I think it's about three blocks. Say noon?
