She... I don't know what her issue was, but she left my father shortly after I was born. Became a nun.

I think you can't look at it like you're the one ruining anything. This other man is the one who ought to be held responsible.

It was a long time ago. I think in some ways it wasn't so bad. My father did the best he could and I turned out all right.

He struggled with... certain aspects of parenting, but he did all right. I think he wanted me to do make up for all his mistakes in a way, which can be hard to deal with. I'm glad your parents did a good job.

It makes you the messenger. The bearer of bad tidings. But you can't be blamed for things that happened prior to your being born, Duela.
