Iris seems to think I'm distracted.
OOC: Newer timeline Effie, aged twenty eight. She's been gone for eight years now.

OOC: Alexis is, for all intents and purposes, older when replying to older Effie. Not that you can tell. Beauty before age, thank you very much.

How're you, Alexis? It's been awhile.

God, I need to keep in touch more. *laughs*

Will you be coming back soon? It's been eight years...

Say, um...mind if I come stay with you for a while? I think Patrick sold my old place.
And I'd love to meet your daughter.
no subject
*beams happily* We'd love to have you, we have plenty of room.
I can't believe I really have a daughter...
no subject
Great!
*smiles* Hey, I always thought you'd be a great mom. In fact, I'm sure I told you as much plenty of times before.
So, tell me everything!

She's beautiful, Effie. And she's got wizard blood, so she'll continue Lucius's purebred line. Draco still won't even acknowledge my presence, but he adores his new little stepsister.
Zebra's getting old, but you wouldn't know it from the way she plays with Claire. That's her name, little Claire Malfoy. Named after my mother.
What's new in your life since we last chatted?
no subject
Claire's a beautiful name. How old is she?
What can I say, the mountain air's done me good. I'm older, wiser, but ultimately a lot happier.
Though a little achy. I had some trouble with a bunch of Rusalki that'd been terrorising one of the local villages. Kids dissappearing left right and center. I tell you, Alexis, Eastern Europe's a tough nut to crack.

I'm glad you're happy, you deserve it.
Kids disappearing? *chews lip* That's...that's awful. Anything I can do to help?
(ooc: running away to take a Supernatural Folklore midterm the day after Halloween. Who's underdeveloped brain child is that?)

No, it's fine. We managed to sort it all out.
I'm officially over Slavic water faeries. Really. *laughs*

Slavic water faeries? Share.

Again, mysterious dissappearances. Not just kids this time but young men. We managed to pinpoint the problem to the village's local water supply.
It was completely infested with Rusalki -- the Slavic equivalent of a mermaid. Vicious things, one almost got one of the younger girl's. It dragged her under the water. For a moment no one knew what the hell was going on.
Long story short? They are the most irritating creatures on the face of the earth.

I think I'll stay here in my nice little world with my family, thank you. *laughs softly*

I guess it has. Though I'll admit it definitely wasn't what I ever saw myself doing. But, hey. I'm happy and that's what matters, right?

Though, I'm still a little fuzzy on the details. Was this where I started singing the theme song for the Love Boat?
