Nadine? Are you all right?

Three hours of sleep... if you can even call it that. Nightmares all night.

I'll be fine once Jonathan has a new batch of pills for me.

*frowns a little* Are you sure that pills are the answer? Perhaps a cup of herbal tea might help?

I wish something else would work, but I've tried most everything. After... Well. After something happened, I haven't been able to sleep properly since.

But Jonathan's pills are perfect. It just figures that I'd run out last night of all nights.

But enough on that. How are you?

Well, if you're sure they'll help... I always feel worse the day after I take sleeping pills, personally.

I'm not doing too bad. Recovering from one of my headaches. The ultimate feeling of relief. *smiles a bit* That, and having cleaned up after a pumpkin-destroying kitten!

Jonathan is an amazing chemist. He prepares his own kind of pills for me. I haven't ever been drowsy after waking up from them, thankfully.

I'm glad to hear that. Headaches can be awful. She smiled as well. A pumpkin-destroying kitten? Oh dear! I can only imagine the mess! Amazing what such a little animal can do, isn't it?

That's good. It sounds like he's hit upon the perfect formula to help you. Not all of us are so lucky...

And I'm used to the headaches, I suppose, though I'm always glad when they're gone. And yes, Etta's quite the handful! So nosey and always into everything. She's adorable, though. *laughs*

Jonathan really is simply wonderful. I'm afraid I don't deserve him and all he does for me.

That must be terrible, to be used to headaches. Etta? That's an adorable name. Isn't it wonderful how something troublesome can manage to be cute enough to make up for the mayhem it can cause?

*softly* I believe you do... You appreciate him, and that's a very good thing. I know so many who take the people in their lives for granted...

*looks a little sad* With a brain tumor, headaches are par for the course, unfortunately. And yes, Etta's very sweet. Can't stay mad with her for more than a minute or two, despite having to scrub pumpkin off of everything!

He must be angry with me at times for putting my job before him... but I have to make ends meet.

I am so very sorry to hear that, even if saying it makes no difference in your health. Did she require a bath herself?

I'm sure he understands the fact that you have to make a living...

He tells me does, which is a relief. I still feel like I could do more for him, but I do try.

It seems that's usually all we can do when life throws us an obstacle. Deal with it the best way we can, and one person's best way isn't another person's, and people should learn to accept that.

I can imagine! Kittens are not known for liking water.

That's true - very true. Life is precious, and so few people realize it - too few. Even going through the hard times is better than being without life. Though it's a struggle sometimes to keep going. Especially the thought of leaving my family behind is hard.

No, they're not fond of water. *smiles* Never knew something so tiny could hiss so loudly!

There's only been one time when I thought life might not be worth living, but... That was a very dark time. But now I have ~~people~~ someone to live for, and that really makes all the difference.
