I have had various paramours and one husband over the centuries years. I do tend to build the friendship first, and if it moves into realms that are more intimate, at least there's more to talk about than just sex.

More than one of those men I enjoy a very good friendship with still.

Yeah, me too. Nah, it's not as tragic as I accidentally made it sound. I don't mind not being with the fellows in question, but... still. The ol' "men only want one thing" axiom comes to mind.

I've heard that before and frankly, it's one of the reasons I haven't even seriously contemplated relationships on a personal level before aside from the whole 'set them on fire during sex' thing. People you see on the street seem to perpetuate that, as does Hollywood and society in general.
