People after awhile start to fear they are losing time and need to get busy, if ya know what I mean? I'm sure there's some kind of term for it or it: The fear of death that makes people want to find love.
I agree with you. Anyone who needs to find their happiness in someone else ... broken is a good way to describe them.
On the other hand, turning the judgmental pendulum back towards myself ... its hard not to seem desperate and broken when your pining after your childhood sweetheart for as long as I have.
I sometimes wonder though. If I ever did rekindle that flame or even started a new fire ... would it feel the same? I've been told before nothing is as pure as it is in youth.
Won't I feel foolish if I wake up and realize that I've been waiting for something that I can't have back.
One of the things being apart from Lily taught me was the important lesson I've already mentioned. That in looking for happiness in someone else, your not looking for it in the right place.
I like to think I've grown up a bit in the time we've been apart.
I try not to think about this stuff too much anymore. A lot of love and romance has to do with luck. Right place, right time, right people. You can't force it just because you don't want to be alone. Does that make any sense?
Exactly. You can't count on someone else to make you happy and complete. Sometimes you just have to let that sort of thing come on its own.
*nods* I know what you mean, I only made a statement about it because everyone seems to be trying to force it? And then they're....depressed because they think there must be something wrong with them?
Oh, I know that. I just noticed that around here there seem to be an abundance of posts that come off as....I dunno. Like they're posting personals and then angsting whenever no one is interested?
No, you can't. But if you've never had love, like you say, than how do you know it's important? How do you know the feeling is worth coming off desperate and broken for?

I don't get why people seem like they're going to keel over if they don't find romance. It's loads more trouble than it's worth.

That'd be my guess. Thank Creation for Immortality!

Maybe they're all just broken.
...Immortal?

*gives a quixotic look* Yea...Immortal.

*nods* That makes two immortals I know, then.

I just want to recapture it.

People around here seem to miss what they've never had, ya know?

Anything got you thinking about this is particular, or is it just an observation you've gathered?

You actually had love. *shrugs* You got to see what life was like when you had that and so when it was gone you knew there was something missing.

I can't say. I was spurned pretty badly in love and haven't cared enough to try again.
I think you can't close yourself off, but...it's not bad to hope?

Asking for love never works.

Or when you don't even want to find it.
But you do, or rather, it finds you, and things just...fall into place.

Does that make any sense?

Admittedly more on the female end than with males. I've found my gender is whiny and needy.

If it comes to me, then so be it; I won't fight. Much. But I'll never voluntarily search for completeness in a man's arms.
