The Doctor had never been here before. It was so...clean. And he was not. Hugging his coat to him, content to know that Theta would never let him go without the switchblade he kept on him, the Doctor stood in the doorway of the New York up with bright eyes. "Never been, thanks for the tour!" Or lack there of. The Doctor would tour himself!
She'd never had a tour of the place, but she'd dropped in uninvited enough times to know her way around the place. At least. Most of the place. By the time they'd arrived, she'd started to dry, and she smelled all the worse for it.
That adventure was much too short for such a mess.
Alisa was a bit bewildered with the Ianto job of ordering pizza. At least, he was able to get the pizza down to the main area of the Hub quickly.
"It's better than what they ate in Cardiff," Alisa says, as she sits with her legs crossed in her chair. There's a bit of paperwork in front of her. The Weevil in the Subway platform required an update of their maps.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it." Jack muses, as he slips his coat off and slides it on the back of a random chair. "The showers are a little to the left." The smell of a Lombardi's Pizza is music to Jack's taste buds. "We're special customers, they don't normally deliver this far."
"Stopped a blowfish from robbing them, so they owe us a favor."
"Oooh, a blowfish!" The Doctor would probably spend his entire evening standing in soggy trainers and a smelly coat just to talk about all of the weird and wonderful things Jack had seen. He was starved for adventure. Rocking back and forth on his toes and heels, the Doctor made a music of his own: squish squish squish.
"Blowfish with semi-automatic rifles. They're not exactly a bunch of fun," Alisa steps out of her chair to go get a change of clothes for Rose. She slips into Jack's office and down to the small little bunk below.
"They're common here. You still might want to get a shower, and then we can talk about the simpler things," Jack seats himself in the chair that his coat drapes off of. "I'll send Alisa up with a change of clothes."
The Doctor sang in the shower. He sang very loudly in the shower. He sang very loudly in at least four different languages in the shower, one of which was made up of weird clicking noises and chest thumps. When he returned back down to the hub, he was wearing one of Jack's white shirt's -- too big, the Doctor's shoulders were so much slighter -- a pair of belted trousers, also too big, and a giant grin as he toweled off his hair.
At some point, whilst scrubbing her skin raw, she was sure she heard singing. By the time she was satisfied--however grudgingly--that the scent and dirt was gone, the song had ended. The silence in the room was more unnerving than that elevator music Torchwood One so loved to blast in their shower rooms.
Still. She had fresh clothes (and oh, those others were some of her favorites, she'd hate to have to throw them out. Perhaps her TARDIS could clean them out?) she was arguably clean, and pizza and a Captain Jack and a Doctor would be waiting. None of them were hers, but they'd all become dear enough for the prospect to be appealing. Especially after those several minutes worrying that someone might've started up killing Doctors again.
She tied her hair up in a pony-tail--the holder being one of the few things in her possession not ruined--and glanced around the hub curiously. "Someone say something about pizza?"
Jack had also went to shower, he's dressed in just a white t-shirt and a pair of pants. "No sign of Theta's Jack and the other Ianto?" He makes his way down to the Hub proper with a towel slung over his shoulders.
And by the time the three return there's a few boxes of pizza along with other goodies sitting on the table. "I just ordered a bunch of them with different toppings. Sorry, it's just your basics." Alisa looks at the coffee machine, and she goes to pour herself a cup. "Those two? I bet they're having sex in the back of the SUV."
The Doctor is not for the moment shy about pulling open the pizza boxes, taking a gander at their contents, and then picking off toppings here and there. "Olives!" He did love olives. "Ham!" Ham, it seemed, was another good addition! "Oooh, mushroom!" Right-oh, the man enjoyed mushrooms.
Five boxes all opened and picked at until the last one revealed only pepperoni.
She tossed Jack a smile when he arrived, but at the woman's--Alisa's, if she were correct in her assumption--she threw up a hand. "Please, you can't offer me pizza and then pop up an image like that without warning. That's cruel and unusual." Of course, she knew in other universes Jack and Ianto were much closer than in hers. In theory, she understood it as well as all the alternate Doctors and herself out there. In practice, she hoped to never walk in on Jack and her second-in-command.
Despite her words, she wandered over toward the arranged food anyway, and reached over to place a hand on the Doctor's shoulder. "Bananas for dessert. We can go to that restaurant and get splits, yeah? Maybe a milkshake."
Alisa shudders herself, but she's bared witness to an accidental hot room show back in Cardiff. "Ugh, nasty flashbacks..." She reaches for a piece of sausage pizza.
Jack grabs a slice of pepperoni. "They'll give you a dirty look if you ask for a banana pizza here." He laughs, as he takes a napkin along with a seat. "You can order almost everything here."
"I'll leave those two be. Theta's Jack needs the company."
The Doctor had nothing to say about any Iantos or Jacks. His own set were quite insane. One would kill for the other...who would rather chase after anyone else then the man he was suppose to love. But such was human relationships. He'd had enough of them, personally.
Oh Rose. His Pancake Rose. He had no idea why he called her that. She never ate pancakes with him...
When this Rose assures him that there will be splits later, he smiles as he always does and sits down on the floor with a piece of pizza in each hand.
And of course, because the Doctor sits on the floor, so does she. Perhaps with a bit more poise, because Torchwood was Torchwood, and she was still used to being in charge, but still the floor. Because it was either that or get him to sit in a chair, and uprooting him suddenly from a TARDIS had rattled him enough that day. As far as she was concerned, anyway.
She smiled, holding a hand under a slice of mushroom pizza to keep it spilling over borrowed clothing. "Maybe we could stay in and make our own banana pizzas next time? Mum used to make pizzas sometimes."
