"That would technically be a new one as the 51st Century has not started yet," the Doctor pointed out, in absolutely no way shocked by this revelation. "Humans and their sexuality. Isn't one enough at a time? Or does it have to do with how many hands you have? One for each?"
He wasn't attempting to be funny, he was just curious.
Perhaps a little too curious. He filed this away for later.
A 51st century tradition. She didn't doubt that it'd somehow worked itself into a tradition by the 51st century. The way she heard it told, it might as well have been the age of hedonism. Of course...she'd really only ever heard about it from Jack. Chances were, he exagerrated.
Given that the Doctor's curiosity currently fixated on Jack, Rose kept her attention on her pizza, and tossed a small smile toward the other woman, Alisa. After all, by her reckoning, Jack started it.
Alisa can't help but laugh at the two. "The Doctor's right. The 51st century didn't start yet. One person is enough for this human."
Jack very likely exaggerated on the numerous partners and the will sleep with anyone. He looks between the three with a mouth full of pizza. "I remember something with you, and begging to squish-squish someones well you know."
The Doctor looked confused again about something he obviously didn't know and why it might need to be squished. Oh, what a mess that thought was! He sucked in a breath, sure that they were talking about bananas now, and had the most devastatingly cute -- and horrified -- look on his face.
Oh look at that. Watch Rose choke on her pizza and then spiral into a coughing fit. Vengeance will be sought and found for that, Jack Harkness. "I remember a vow of dignity involved."
The expression on the Doctor's face turned her attention from Jack, however, "You alright, Doctor?" It couldn't have happened for him, clearly, even if the Doctor had remembered that.
Alisa shoots Jack a bit of a look, that softens into a warm smile friendly smile. The relaxed atmosphere is welcomed, and she reaches over for another slice of pizza. "A vow of dignity involved? I think we have a case of selective memory.
Jack looks between the two women with a mouth still filled with pizza. He then looks back at The Doctor. "That was my Doctor. Sorry."
Oh, he hardly had any idea what these crazy humans were going on about. Pizza, that's what he needed. More of it. And splits. And then he needed to get home to Theta because... Just because.
One track mind for the Doctor, sure, but he had the weirdest feeling that something wasn't right.
Or that something else could still go so very wrong.
She snorted. "Dignity or death." But the conversation had spiraled on enough in that direction, leaving behind the Doctor, so she turned her attention back to the Doctor--despite the fact that he hadn't answered her inquiry.
"Have you picked the toppings you'll want on your split, Doctor?"
