(Lets himself fall backward, onto the rooftop, his feet still dangling but at least now his body is on the roof.) Come over here Erin. See the sights with me.

Uhhhh, lots. Lots and lots. (Pulls about four different orange bottles of pain pills out of his pockets and hands them to her.)

Jesus. Why did you take so many? ( pulling her phone out to call poison control, since she's not completely sure what'll happen. )

Oh. (Starts slightly and turns around where he is sitting.) Hi.

[Lets out a smile.] I didn't expect to see anyone here. [Walks up to the boy and extends his hand.] Hi, I'm Maxxie. [Notices the slightly glazed look in the boy's eyes] Enjoying a spliff up here, handsome? [Grins a little.] Got any left?

I'm Cullen. (Takes Maxxie's hand and gives it a dull squeeze.) Spliff? Oh...pot? Nah. Much better. (Takes his hand back and sticks it into his pocket and pulls out an orange pill bottle. He holds it out towards Maxxie.) Pain meds?

Oh. Well, thanks but I'm good. [Sets down his stereo and crouches next to Cullen.] What are you taking those for?

(Shrugs and sticks them back in his pocket.) They help me deal with the pain of my treatment. Cancer fighter. (Said rather nonchalantly. The medicine has put him in a fairly good mood.) What's the stereo for?

[Manages a slight 'oh, I'm sorry' smile at hearing that and he raises his eyebrows slightly] This? [His smile grows a little wider.] I come up here to practice my moves. I'm a dancer. Do you dance?

Dance? Uh, no. Most days I have trouble standing up. (Smiles lightly, though it isn't really a comical statement.) Don't let me interrupt you.

[tilts his head to the side] Is the treatment working? I mean... [glances down for a moment] Are you going to get better?

Oh...dunno. They caught it early I guess, so that is good. But I had a rare strain of Hodgkin's Disease, so they are doing experimental treatment. It's kind of a wait and see kind of thing. (Shrugs as if it doesn't matter.) I can't get any worse.

[nods once.] Well, since you're up here. You won't mind if I ask for your opinion about my dance moves? [wants to help take his mind off all the bad stuff that's going on.]
