Yeah, but it was the nineties, what wasn't a one hit wonder? I mean maybe there was more but my attention span wasn't long enough for it. Which probably describes a good chunk of America, so there's your problem. Or crappier and crappier music. Hard to say.

It's a mix of both, but you can hardly count it as a classic. By your logic, Barbie Girl and Mambo Number 5 should be classics, too.
