Amy let out a shaky breath that was supposed to be a laugh, "Well you might want to work faster." She suggested before going quiet for a moment when she thought she heard someone come in the room. After a moment when she heard nothing else, Amy finally spoke up again. "Doctor-" Amy started to say, lowering her voice. "That woman with the eye-patch is here."
The Doctor didn't know who that woman was. He pursed his lips together and looked at Rory who didn't know either. "We're trying, the TARDIS is being blocked somehow ... "
He made a sound of frustration. "I mean, she's blocked form materializing. We can talk just fine, because she's brilliant, but we're working to get in."
"Right now, we're trying to get in. Then we're going to find you if that works. From there ... " he paused. "I have a plan of course!" Which meant he didn't have a plan.
Amy was about to reply when she heard movement in the room, the Doctor would probably hear her sharp inhale. Which was a mixture of pain and fear. Even if she wasn't sure of all of the details as to why and how she was here, she knew that it wasn't good. "Doctor?" Amy whispered, "I think someones in the room."
The Doctor cursed in Gallifreyian and thankfully no one but the TARDIS understood that. "Okay, hold on, this is going to hurt, Rory. And watch the -- " the sound of a splash could be heard. " -- pool." When the TARDIS landed, he stood up and pulled the screen around. He could see Amy right there. "No funny business." He said to the TARDIS. "Stay in here Rory. I'm putting a forcefield on so anyone but me or Amy tries to come in here, they get shocked to death."
And then he was out the door with his screwdriver and there was Amy. And the eyepatch lady. "Oh, those are back in, those are cool."
"What?" Amy whispered harshly when she heard the Doctor say something she couldn't understand. Not sure what he had just said or what he was up to until she heard the TARDIS materialising in the room. Seeing the strange woman coming toward her Amy's breathing quickened as she pressed her back up against the bed, putting as much distance between them as she could.
The strange woman didn't seem at all thrilled with the Doctor interrupting what was going to happen soon enough and Amy swore she saw her grab something from her pocket. "Doctor look out!" Amy exclaimed with wide eyes, not sure if it was something harmful or not.
And the Doctor got an eyeful of Amy that he didn't need to see. He turned his body around violently before closing his eyes. He opened them and aimed the screwdriver in the direction of the woman when Amy shouted at him. "Put it down, whatever that is, put it down now." He started toward Amy then. She really was heavily pregnant now. "Ooh, very fascinating," he said then turned his attention back to the woman.
"Stay right there. And don't bother trying for the TARDIS."
Amy's face flushed for a brief moment before she shoved her hospital gown down. Not blinking, Amy looked between the Doctor and the woman in surprise and fear. She had no idea what this woman was up to, or what she was capable of. One thing she did know was that she was up to no good. Amy looked toward the TARDIS doors and saw Rory struggling to keep himself from rushing out there and Amy had to hold back from getting choked up again. Relieved to know that both her boys were okay. "Doctor." Amy called out, as if trying to remind him that she was still here and wanted nothing more than to get out of this place.
The Doctor rolled his eyes and turned to look at Rory who was standing in the doorway. He looked at the woman with the eyepatch. "Do you ever get that feeling you have a face that no one bothers to listen to?" he was still aiming the screwdriver at her. He looked around and looked at Amy. He didn't even have to look at Rory. "Oh c'mon with it then! As if you're going to stand there," he replied and before he got it, Rory was there unstrapping Amy.
The Doctor still had his screwdriver pointed at the woman with the eyepatch. She was making her way toward the TARDIS. "You really aren't too bright, are you? I knew someone like you once, dense, wore an eyepatch. OH! Maybe you're related!"
Amy looked up at her husband, silently apologising for everything that happened. However the moment was cut off when another contraction hit her and she tried to hold her breath as if it would stop the pain. When Rory helped her off the bed her legs gave out for a moment before she finally got used to standing again after what felt like ages. "I'm fine." She told her husband stubbornly before looking at the Doctor and the woman. "Doctor can we just get out of here?" She asked him breathlessly.
The Doctor kept his eyes on the woman, putting his body between her and the TARDIS. "Well, Ponds, what are you waiting for?" he motioned behind him. "In the TARDIS!" he said. "I said, put that DOWN!" He shouted at the woman and hit the button on his screwdriver, the device in her hand exploding.
Amy allowed Rory to help her over to the TARDIS, her eyes not leaving the Doctor until they moved past him and into the TARDIS. Easing herself into the chair she heard the Doctor shout something at the woman and then something exploding. "Doctor?! What's going on?!"
The Doctor flinched and shouted as he was burned by the explosion but turned quickly as he darted toward the TARDIS. He ran inside and slammed the door just in time, the woman touching the doors and getting electrocuted. He could hear the woman screaming outside and he flinched, waving his hand as he hurried to the console.
He hadn't heard Amy but he was flicking buttons and levers with one hand, the other held close to him as if a bird with a wounded wing. "Oh, I'm fine! Honestly, just a sting, nothing worry about," he said in a cheerful tone. "Deep space, here we -- " he pulled a lever hard and the TARDIS jerked. " -- go!"
He looked at Rory. "Go on, take her to the med bay, deliver the baby."
Eyes wide, Amy looked at the closed door and then at the Doctor. Nearly spilling out of her chair when the TARDIS took off rather roughly. "This is all a dream right?" Amy asked with slightly hysterical laughter. "This can't be real. I was just in here and I wasn't pregnant and now..?"
The Doctor had gone back to fiddling with something on the console, muttering something about nanobots when Amy spoke. "Hm? Oh! No, not a dream, sadly, this is your reality now," he remarked, waving a free hand at her. "You better get to the med bay where Roranicus can deliver that baby. A girl! I believe," he said, hissing and hit the console. "Where are the nanobots!"
Amy looked at the Doctor in confusion, "But last time I was pregnant that turned out to be a dream." She told him, trying to come up with every reasoning other than what was actually happening as to how she was in the situation she was in right now. She looked up at Rory when he told the Doctor to stop calling him that before he looked back down at her. "No. No I am not ready for this." Amy said out loud to no one in particular.
